You can hear the ocean lap the shoreline while you relax in the lap of luxury.

Our modern Villas are generously equipped house-keeping units with a fireplace, full kitchen and living room exiting to a furnished deck. Wireless High Speed Internet and the newspaper delivered daily - just in case you care how the market is performing.

Every Villa has 2 bedrooms. The master with a queen size bed, the second, with available double or single beds. A furnished balcony extends from both bedrooms offering great views of the beach and ocean.

Every Villa also has 2 bathrooms including a Jacuzzi in the upstairs bath. For grill masters, there's a BBQ for your T-bones. For incurable romantics, we have two Honeymoon Suites. Our accommodations even include a specially designed unit for physically disabled guests.

Children are welcome. In fact, we have one of the biggest sandboxes in Nova Scotia for them to play in.

If you need more room, a three-bedroom deluxe Cottage with large wrap around deck, BBQ, fireplace and Jacuzzi is available. We also have one-bedroom Suites that have a fireplace, 3 piece bath and galley kitchen.

The Osprey Nest is quietly nestled on a gentle slope behind the Quarterdeck affording unsurpassed views of Summerville Beach and of the bay and islands. This charming one bedroom cottage has a full kitchen, spacious living room with fireplace, 3 piece bath, DVD player, telephone, and BBQ.

As a guest at the Osprey Nest you can enjoy all the amenities offered at the Quarterdeck. All you need to do is sit back and relax as you take in the sunset from the screened in porch.

Just down the road is a secluded cottage, perched overlooking the rugged picturesque coastline. Tall pines surround the cottage. It's peaceful and quiet, the natural tranquility only broken by the call of the Loons and the resounding rhythm of the waves.

Inside, the cottage is fully equipped. Full kitchen and bathroom, huge living room with fireplace and a fabulous view of the water from the picture windows or the large wrap around deck.

A week here and you will feel completely rejuvenated. Best of all, the Quarterdeck and all its beachside and dining amenities are only a few minutes away.

Is the Quarterdeck Grill one of the top 10 restaurants in Nova Scotia? We have gained the reputation as the Sandy South Shore's finest for fresh seafood.

The oceanside view alone is delicious. You can dine inside or outside on the Grill's all-weather covered deck.

As for the food, let your palate decide. You could try our sumptuous fresh lobster tails stuffed with scallops and shrimp. Are you a lobster purist? Order steamed Nova Scotia lobster. Our planked salmon is famous on the South Shore, uniquely seasoned and grilled in an outdoor wood fire pit. Or choose bountiful pastas, great steaks, delicately grilled fresh fish or salads brimming with scallops shrimp and lobster.

Location, location, location...

The Quarterdeck is located along Nova Scotia's beautiful Sandy South Shore, on the Lighthouse Route. As the name suggests, lighthouses and spectacular views, not to mention the miles and miles of white sand beaches, dot the coastline drive to our Villas and Grill.

Located virtually half-way between Halifax and Yarmouth, it's close to historic Lunenburg, Mahone Bay and Liverpool, home to Nova Scotia's 18th Century privateers.

For even faster driving to the Quarterdeck, take Highway 103 and exit at 20. You can't miss us. We're right on the beach!
